Help improve your community center
Following on the heels of last year’s success, the current series of Co-Create to Recreate meetings will finalize a new round of Participatory Budgeting.
People’s, Eastside, Norpoint and STAR community centers have each set aside $10,000 for members to spend. The money can be used on one large project, or several smaller ones, and range anywhere from updating or purchasing new equipment, expanding the variety of classes and programming or making facility improvements both in and outside the center.
Each center began the process by collecting ideas both in-person at the Co-Create meeting and online using this platform. The community then reviewed ideas others have submitted and provided feedback using a “like” or “dislike” button. The top ideas were then identified, which community members are invited to vote on this fall following each Co-Create event.
Help us Decide
In 2025, the Norpoint community was asked how to spend $10,000. The choices were Fitness Equipment, Group Exercise Equipment, or Aquatic Equipment.
