Portland Avenue Park Improvement Project
This project is currently in the planning phase. Parks Tacoma worked collaboratively with the community to develop a master plan for this 13.4 acre community park on Tacoma’s Eastside. We initiated a park master planning and community outreach process to reimagine opportunities for future investment to further diversify and enhance the park’s recreational, open space, public health, and cultural value to the community. Parks Tacoma is renovating Portland Avenue Park, a 13.4 acre community park on Tacoma's Eastside.
We are currently engaging in design and construction of Phase 1 of the Master Plan which includes:
- Sprayground
- Playground
- Restroom Facility
- Pathways

Your input has shaped the new design!
Join us as we share the design of the new inclusive playground, sprayground and restroom at your park. You contributed to the community survey that ran in July to guide the look, feel, and layout of this first phase of the park’s Master Plan improvements. We have synthesised those results into a final design and we’re excited to share them with you. Let’s get into it!
